Comap offers a wide range of multilayer pipes for gas applications.
A range for multilayer gas pipes from diameter 16 mm to 32 mm.
MultiSkin4 Gas – Multilayer pipe with high aluminium thickness (0,4mm for 16mm pipe).
MultiSkin gas pipes can only be used with Comap MultiSkin gas fittings.
Pipes are available in several configurations: bare, in coil, in conduit.
Comap multilayer solutions are guaranteed for 10 years.
Comap offers a range of MultiSkin Gas multilayer pipes with high temperature and pressure resistance thanks to their thickened aluminium core. The pipe is manufactured in accordance with the ISO/ FDIS 17484-1/2006 European standard and is available in bar lengths, rolls and in corrugated conduit.
Characteristics of the product
Sizes available: from 16 to 32 mm.
Five layers of: cross-linked polyethylene (PEX ) / Adhesive / Aluminium / Adhesive / cross-linked polyethylene (PEX).
Butt welding of the aluminium core ensures consistent thickness and maximum oxygen sealing over the entire length of the pipe.
Thickness of aluminium: 0.4 mm (Ø16mm).
Available as bare pipe or in conduit.
Advantages
Performance
Multilayer pipe offers great working comfort: it is easy to transport and simple to install thanks to manual bending and rapid cuts.
Multilayer pipes require on average half as many fittings as metal pipes.
With its high aluminum density, MultiSkin Gas pipe maintains perfect linearity and generates no remanence during bending.
Safety
Lightweight and convenient to carry in individual cartons of 100 m, the multilayer pipe limits difficult working conditions and risks related to heavy loads.
Significantly lower risk of theft on work sites compared to copper.
Applications
Gas: Max 60 °C (operating temperature), 0.5 bar (maximum operating pressure).
Lubricated compressed air: Max 60 °C (operating temperature), 10 bar (maximum operating pressure).
Since 1921, Comap has been driving intelligent management of water and energy through its thermal and sanitary products that increase comfort in buildings. It is part of the stocklisted company Aalberts NV, instituted in 1975. Along with Flamco, which produces high-quality components for use in HVAC systems since 1956, the Aalberts hydronic flow control business unit was constituted. Stronger together, Comap and Flamco will continue to build mission critical technologies to manage heating and cooling humanly with better financial and environmental efficacy. From source to emitter we partner with our customers to engineer seamless energy efficient hydronic systems for their building requirements.
